Pornographers will have to draw on their creativity to find an Internet home for titles like "Debbie Does Berkeley."
UC Berkeley recently paid $1,300 to snap up seven potentially pornographic Internet domains, including berkeley.xxx and gobears.xxx, to keep them out of the hands of those hoping to cash in on the university's name in unsavory ways. The school followed several other colleges around the country that had done the same thing.
Instead of writhing bodies, Internet users see a rather banal message when they visit the Berkeley-related .xxx sites: "This domain has been reserved from registration."
