A woman and a second man have been arrested as police investigate the murder of a mainland woman whose naked body was found with neck wounds in a subdivided flat at Yau Ma Tei last week.
The arrest of the woman, 35, and man, 48, follow that of a 45-year-old man named Cheung a day after the body was found. He claimed to be an ex-boyfriend of the victim, Liu Shuqiong, 49.
Cheung was initially detained but later released on bail.
With investigations by the Kowloon West Regional Crime Squad underway, the second man was arrested in Wong Tai Sin on Monday afternoon and the woman in Lok Ma Chau yesterday.
Liu, a two-way permit holder, was found dead a week ago on a bloodstained bed. Her wounds included a 13-centimeter slash to the neck.
A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman whose naked body was found in a multi- cubicle apartment in Yau Ma Tei.
Police said the 45-year-old suspect, surnamed Cheung, was detained in Western District.
The victim, Liu Shuqiong, 49, was found on Wednesday lying in a pool of blood with wounds to her neck in a room at a Shanghai Street apartment.
Liu was a two-way permit holder and came from Chongqing.
She arrived from Zhuhai on August 21 and moved into the flat with another female friend. It is believed both were sex workers.
