A KOREAN national landed behind bars after a pick-up girl accused him of beating her while they were inside a motel in Manila Friday.
Case officer SPO1 Donald Panaligan said Nam Jae Kim, of No. 22 Aries Street, Bel Air III, Makati City, is facing physical injury and drug charges.
Reports said the foreigner met the 22-year-old pick up girl on Salas Street, Malate. The girl agreed to have sex with the suspect for P3,000 in Hotel Sogo.
However, as soon as they entered the room, the Korean suddenly turned violent.
The girl said the suspect threw her on the bed and she resisted him causing injuries in her thighs and neck.

THE South Korean government has written to a number of Sydney mayors asking them to "dob in" Koreans involved in prostitution.
The move comes on the back of figures suggesting at least 1000 of its nationals are working in the local sex industry, many believed to be as a result of sex trafficking.
A letter sent by Jin Soo Kim, the Sydney Consul General for South Korea, has requested them to "advise us immediately" of "any information on Korean nationals" involved in illegal sex practices, "either as a victim or an offender". The letter says the consulate has a "police attache ready to support enforcement activities where needed".

One mayor who received the letter, Hornsby's Nick Berman, said: "It's not every day a foreign government writes to me about anything. So when I get a letter on something so disturbing, I take it very seriously."
